Message From The Chairman !

Dear my Friends,

We are always seeking new ways to get our ADVENT Model for extending the support and care the needy and Development to more people. In the past years, we have done a fantastic job and extended our care to numerous beneficiaries of women, youth and children who are drastically in need to be empowered and bring them to the mainstream of society with dignity. Impact of these years shows remarkable resilience in the organization as we continue to grow and develop. We were also able to prepare for a new way of reaching people who are in extreme poverty and provide them the care.

India has witnessed unparalleled transformation in the last fifty years. The economy has taken quantum leaps forward and GDP growth is expected to increase in the near future. Penetration of the internet and mobile technology has changed traditional ways of doing business. Development goals of the nation now proactively address the digital divide; the Aadhaar card project and Jan Dhan Yojana scheme bear testimony to this. Frameworks of E-governance and mobile governance are enhancing the scale and pace of impact delivery and facilitating the last mile connectivity for all government services and goods to all. Amidst all these positive attributes, India continues to falter in improving its Human Development Index ranking. Despite all the glory around the economic growth, India languishes at the 135 positions in the Human Development Index. The social sector, therefore, has a huge role to play in enabling and improving the lives of the underprivileged.

In this critical stage ADVENT in India has been humbly playing a small part in this national agenda by making a lasting difference to the lives of abandoned and parentless children and underprivileged members of the society. Over the last fifteen years, ADVENT has grown from strength to strength. The yardstick to measure the success of our work lies in the efficacious settlement of our children. Children, who come to us with no family, broken families, malnourished conditions step out of our care after 7 years, with both roots and wings. A permanent bond with a family, complete with a mother and siblings, ensures that they are rooted and emotionally secure lifelong. Value-based care along with formal education equips them with the much-needed qualifications and aptitude to lead successful lives. This transformation of young lives would not be possible without your dedicated efforts and long term commitment.

As the nation has embarked on a journey towards an emerging economic powerhouse, ADVENT has also reinvented itself to match the pace of growth and expectations of both donors and the new generation whose dreams we continue to nurture. While due importance has been given to the growing psycho-social needs of the children, less privileged youth and neglected women sufficient attention has been paid to address the hazards of the new age. Child protection policies and guidelines for cyber usage by children are a few steps taken in this direction. There was much-needed investments have been made in technology, human resource recruitment and training, process mapping, and orientation and policy matters to ensure that the future years are equally robust and sustainable.

Apart from that, we are employ proven, effective development, public engagement and relief practices empowering vulnerable children and communities living in contexts of poverty and injustice to become self-sufficient and bring lasting change. We serve all children regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or gender as equal love for all people. With you, we can build a nation fit for children. Join us.  Together for children. For change. For life.

In future, we look forward to reporting not only the impact of our own organization but also to reporting on the achievements tool. It is time, however, for the global community to do more in the provision of releasing children from poverty and making skillful to youth and underprivileged women. and we look forward to providing all the support we can towards this goal. On behalf of ADVENT, I thank our generous donors for their continued support for the elder cause and for making it possible for us to serve over hundreds of children and youth. My thanks are due to all my team at ADVENT for their dedication and unstinted support. Most of all, I thank the Board of Trustees for their guidance and counsel. We hope you will continue to support us in our efforts to achieve much larger goals of bringing happiness to many more children, youth and empower women. Thank you very much.

Warm Regards,

Mr. Dibya Lochan Nayak
